Is it safe to use cosmetic eye contact lenses slightly after expiry?
October 30th, 2009 | by admin |I have some cat eye contact lenses i wish to wear for halloween, but the expiry date is Jan 2009
i paid alot for them so is it really dangerous to wear them for halloween or does it not matter all that much? Thanks
The expiring date was a really long time ago. almost a year. and even a little tiniest bit of expiration with contacts might be dangerous.
I wouldn’t. Not even because it was so long ago but just because they are your eyes. and the contacts could be really dangerous now. with chemical and bacterias and who knows what. You don’t want an eye infection or worse right? So i would try and get some cheap ones on EBay or something cause these are just waaaay too old.
good luck. hope it all works out.

I had them same question before, and unfortunately you can’t use them once they have expired. I had a friend who had a very bad infection because she used them after it had already expired

I`m not really sure, but I don`t think you should wear them because they might give you an eye infection. I wouldn`t chance it….
