What are the real risks of wearing cosmetic contact lenses?
November 17th, 2009 | by admin |If you follow all the rules, are cosmetic contacts still risky?
Aaaaaaaaah! I think I’ll put up with my eyes as they are then!
I agree with carla j. I wear cosmetic contact lenses, and they’re fine with me.
The only difference between normal contact lenses and cosmetics is that.. cosmetic contact lenses are more drying to your eyes. But that can easily be fixed by using eye drops whenever your eyes feel a bit dry ( I haven’t had to do this so far)
I’ve been wearing cosmetic contact lenses for around 4 years (not everyday of course, i’m not THAT vain) and I’m still fine
Just make sure you keep them clean, soak them in the saline solution overnight/when you’re not wearing them – please be gentle with the contacts… if you wear normal contact lenses, you shouldn’t have any problems at all!

No, as long as you are hygienic with your contacts it wouldn’t cause you any risk but If not it might as well cause you trouble. In some cases, people forgot to take off their lenses before they sleep and ends up having corneal ulcer. Remember, contacts are very fragile so you must be very careful while cleaning it or else it will be ripped and it could cause trouble in your eyes if you didn’t notice it.

Virtually none, as long as you follow all the directions to the letter.

I have worn contacts for nearly a decade and have never had one problem with them (though mine are corrective).
